Ladders

Ladders can be made from many different things. A ladder can be fiberglass, aluminum, wood or steel, but the problem with the basic "A" frame ladder is they do not offer much safety. Slips and falls off of ladders are some of the work places most common injuries.

An interesting new development with the traditional "A" frame ladder is that many larger businesses and most businesses with safety managers are trying to reduce and/or eliminate ladder usage. Why is this?Ladder Fall

The basic problem with the "A" frame ladder is how are you going to work off of it. Are you going to reach across the ladder to face your job and in doing so cause a lot of stress on your back as you lean forward on your ladder to reach your job. And do not forget that in this position your feet are most likely to slip out and cause a fall. Or are you going to put the ladder parallel to you job and work off the side? If you choose this option you have to corkscrew your body to reach your job and this in not only uncomfortable, but now you have reduced you active work zone.

The basic design of the ladder has not changed in over 2,000 years, but thanks to the safety of working off of an X-Deck you can now have all the strength and safety of scaffolding, but with the lightness and portability of a ladder.

We hope this report on ladders will help you make your decision to work smarter and safer off of an X-Deck easier.
